Dr. Narske and Dr. Rigg are both graduates of the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Elizabeth Narske
Dr. Elizabeth Narske is no stranger to the Quad Cities; she graduated from Rock Island High School and Augustana Collge before the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Illinois. She first became acquainted with the Rock Island Animal Hospital while in college and worked part-time with Dr. Tadlock and Dr. Coster. After receiving her DVM degree, Dr. Narske worked at an emergency and critical care hospital in North Brook, Illinois. Six years later she moved to a day practice in Gurnee where she served as Chief of Staff. When Dr. Tadlock retired, she welcome the opportunity to come back to the Quad Cities and the Rock Island Animal Hospital. Dr. Narske lives in Rock Isalnd with her famaily of cats.

Dr.Jill Rigg
Dr. Rigg grew up in a small town in west central Illinois. Her love for animals came from helping on her grandfather's farm and caring for a wide variety of pets of her own including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, fish and an iguana. After graduating with a B.S. in Biology, Dr. Rigg attended the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine where she received her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2004. Dr. Rigg enjoys spending her free time with her husband, children and 2 dogs, Oscar and Moxie.

Dr. Larry Tadlock
Dr. Tadlock grew up on a farm in southern Iowa, served in the U.S. Army after high school, then enrolled at Iowa State University and earned his doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1962. He has spent the last 40 years here at RIAH, helping build it into the hospital it is today. Dr. Tadlock is now settling into retirement, but he can still be found at the hospital most Tuesday mornings.

Sandy
Sandy has been with Rock Island Animal Hospital since February 10, 1999. She is the lead receptionist here at RIAH and is a key part of the hospital staff. When not at work, she is kept busy with her four children and three yorkies.

Brandy
Since June 2003, Brandy has been a part of Rock Island Animal Hospital. She is a veterinary assistant and receptionist. She has a great love for animals. Brandy strives to make every pet's visit a pleasent one. She currently works on maintaining our computer and lab systems. At home, Brandy keeps her family of a cat, Boston terrier, and husband happy.

Linda
Linda has been a veterinary assistant at RI Animal Hospital since March of 2009. Linda has always been a true animal lover, which drew her to become a certified dog trainer in June of 2005. As a dog trainer, she worked at Petco from March of 2008 until January 2009. Linda then took course work to become a veterinary assistant, which she finished in May 2009. When not working, Linda spends her free time with her two loving, well-trained shih tzus, Shu Shu and Sasha.

Collette
Collette has been at the Rock Island Animal Hospital since May of 2009. Originally from the Quad Cities, she moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa to attend Kirkwood Community College where she received a softball scholarship. She then finished her undergraduate degree in Bilological Sciences at Illinois State University and has since moved back home. As an assistant to the doctors, she has gained much experience with the hopes of becoming a veterinarian. Collette has grown up in a rural environment with cats and dogs for most of her life, and recently adopted a kitten named Bogey. She spends some of her free time volunteering under the many zookeepers at Niabi Zoo, preparing nutritional meals for exotic birds. She also enjoys outdoor activities such as softball and golf, and loves to spend time with her family.

Deneen
Deneen is a Certified Veterinary Technician and has been at RIAH since February of 2010. She was raised in the Quad Cities. Deneen attended Parkland Community College in Champaign, Illinois, where she graduated from the Veterinary Technology Program. Deneen began working at the University of Illinois Veterinary Teaching Hospital a few years after graduation, where she worked as the Clinical Coordinator for the Anesthesia and Pain Management Service for 12 years. At U of I, she taught veterinary and technician students hands on skills in a clinical setting, including both Dr. Narske and Dr. Rigg. She was awarded the “Outstanding Clinical Technician” three years while at the university. Deneen authored an article for Veterinary Technician magazine titled “Managing Pain in the Canine Cancer Patient”. She also teaches many seminars, including classes for Western Veterinary Conference and North American Veterinary Conference. Life changing events have led Deneen back home to the Quad Cities. She is now working full time at RIAH and appreciates the high level of medicine that is practiced. She is also a teaching adjunct in the Muscatine Community College Veterinary Technology Program. She has two daughters Caitlyn and Chloe. She enjoys spending time with her girls, family and friends.

Sarah
Sarah just joined the RIAH family in June of 2010 as a Certified Veterinary Technician. Originally a Quad Cities native, she attended the Bel-Rea Institute of Veterinary Technology in Colorado, where she received her Associates of Applied Science upon graduating in 2002. Soon afterwards, Sarah became a certified technician after taking her National Board Exam. She loves her career in veterinary medicine and has a special interest in animal dentistry. Sarah enjoys educating pet owners on their pet's oral health and has done several public speaking events on the topic. Sarah is married and has one daughter, a stepdaughter and a stepson. She also has four cats, a great dane and a chihuahua. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys spending time with her family and pets.

Scott
Scott recently began working at Rock Island Animal Hospital in March of 2010 as a veterinary assistant. He has been working at various vet clinics for the last 7 years. Scott currently attends Augustana College and will graduate in fall 2010 with a Biology Major emphasizing Pre-Veterinary Medicine. Scott plans to attend graduate school to receive a Masters in Veterinary Parasitology, and hopefully become a veterinarian afterwards. Scott has one spunky rat terrier named Jagger. In his spare time, he enjoys being with friends and visiting his family back home in Rockford. |
